The founding managing directors of Caltos Capital are Paul Gill, Devadas Varma and Sanjeev Sharma.

Paul Gill

Paul is a founder and Managing Director of Caltos Capital. He was founder of Ambit Design Systems and served on the Board of Directors of Ambit, which was acquired by Cadence Design Systems in October 1998. He is also a founding director of iEscrow.com, a founding director of VocaLoca.com and has made investments in a number of other start-up companies. Paul received his BS degree in Engineering at Queens University, Kingston, Ontario and his MS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario.

Devadas Varma

Devadas is a founder and Managing Director of Caltos Capital. He was the CTO of Ambit Design Systems, and a VP and CTO of the Ambit Group of Cadence. He has held permanent and consulting engineering and management positions in the World Bank, Silicon Compiler Systems, Mentor Graphics and Viewlogic Systems. He also serves, or has served in, many advisory boards including those of Northwestern University Industrial Advisory Board, University of Arizona Low Power Electronics Center and Cadence Design Systems' Technology Steering Committee. Devadas received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, his MS in Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland and his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Drexel University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He serves on the Board of Directors of Optim Networks and ArcadiaOne.

Sanjeev Sharma

Sanjeev is a founder and Managing Director of Caltos Capital. He was a founder of Radiance Systems, Inc. and served on the Board of Directors of Radiance. Radiance was acquired by Asyst Technologies, Inc. where Sanjeev held management positions in Marketing and Engineering. Prior to Radiance and Asyst, he was at Hewlett Packard Company in the Computer Systems Organization. Sanjeev received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur and his MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
